“Travel does what good novelists also do to the life of everyday, placing it like a picture in a frame or a gem in its setting, so that the intrinsic qualities are made more clear. Travel does this with the very stuff that everyday life is made of, giving to it the sharp contour and meaning of art.” – Freya Stark

Travel always was and always will be the lifeblood of this site. Travel for me is enriched when combined with art and literature from, or inspired by, the destination or journey.

So the travel features will be linked to film and book reviews, allowing you to explore places and cultures with greater depth.

My travels in the first half of this year will be focused in Europe, and I hope to start developing rich travel features combining literary and cinematic elements of places I visit, while I’ll be travelling vicariously to other parts of the world through film and literature.

I hope you’ll join me on this new journey!
