Hi there, thank you for stopping by! I’m Katy Stewart, the face behind Starry-Eyed Travels. I have always had wanderlust – at 18, an age when most people choose party destinations and tourist spots for their first ‘grown up’ holiday, I dragged one of my closest friends off to Marrakech. It was there, in the suffocating heat of the chaotic streets and maze-like souks, that I fell in love with travel.

Since then, I’ve lived in France, studied in Spain, danced in Argentina, stargazed in Chile and taught in Peru. I’ve fallen in love with far too many places, but you’ll find them all on the site somewhere.

I’m a teacher, freelance writer, amateur photographer and full-time dreamer, but travel is what fuels it all. I’m currently based in Reading, UK, but I can count several places both in the UK and around the world as ‘home’.

When not travelling, I spend a lot of my free time baking and I blog about my kitchen adventures at Happy Baking Days. I write for various online magazines, blogs and websites, focussing my attentions on travel, food and film. Well, why not write about the best things in life?
